Brief
Ski Squirrel is a new voucher portal website for winter sports. We were commissioned to create the logo and brand identity which would feature on the site, marketing collateral, stationery and merchandise. The brand needed to appeal to a wide ranging audience from beginners needing an introduction to skiing or snowboarding, to seasoned winter sports enthusiasts.
Solution
The basis of the logo is formed around a squirrel character we illustrated in-house. Friendly, approachable and ready to hit the slopes, our little friend gives the brand an overall feel of holiday fun and enjoyment whilst avoiding the typical clichéd snowflake and mountain graphics so often seen in ski and winter sports brands. Sitting alongside bold, clean typography, the logo also lends itself nicely to being animated in the future.
