Our friends over at Creative Review are celebrating their birthday this month. And it’s a biggie. The highly respected magazine has been keeping the design community updated with news, discussion and debate for 30 years.
To mark the occasion they’re including a replica section of the first ever issue – anyone old/geeky enough to have an original copy of CR No.1 lying around?
I checked out Ryan McGinleys first UK exhibition at the weekend. Moonmilk at the Alison Jaques Gallery features some amazing photography documenting the roadtrip McGinley and his team took exploring the caves of North America earlier this year.
Glug London is a monthly event for creative types from various disciplines to get together and have a few drinks. The ‘more Notworking than networking’ strapline makes it clear that the aim of the night is more about having a catch up and a laugh than it is about schmoozing and business card collecting. The most recent event, held last week at The Queen Of Hoxton on Curtain Road and was a huge success. There were some great talks and showcases from D&AD vice president Sanky, Merlin, Studio Output and GDR.
