Almost a year ago to the day we received an email from an enthusiastic second year Graphic Design student at Bournemouth university. On any given day we get inundated with emails from students, people looking for work placements and chancers, but we always try and reply to everyone. This day in 2011 was no different. We’re still a little bemused when we hear from people who like what we do and contact us about the prospect of working for us. Us? Really? But in line with our If You Give Love, You Get Love™ mantra, we feel it’s only fair to reply and help out if we can.

Josh Ogden was the student in question and we’ve been conversing with him ever since. We were interested in his folio and wanted to stay in contact to offer any advice in his career. There weren’t many mentors around in our day, so we see it as our way of giving something back.

He recently drew our attention to a new project, and said he was launching a student showcase magazine soon, and to keep an eye out. Whilst he had our attention he asked if we would mind contributing some of our previous student relevant blog articles to feature in the magazine, and of course we happily obliged. Justified magazine has now launched a you can get a copy here. Below are a few spreads from the magazine, and at £4.50 inc. postage to the UK, we urge you to buy a copy and help support people doing something positive about their future. Obviously we can vouch for the editorial as being world class. Natch.
